Babies, dogs, and houses...
These are the keys to life. After a brief (extended over time....) time of residence in my in-law's house, we finally grew up! I think it started when I knocked Amy up..... I mean, we got pregnant! When that happened, we decided against the Eastern European/Asian style of family communal living, as fun as it may be cramming an entire extended family into 2 bedrooms and an outhouse. (Not to say that we were sharing 2 bedrooms and and outhouse, you should see the Alpine house that we were staying in. It's like living in a resort in the Alps, without having to deal with pretentious Swiss people or anal airline representatives who try and delay you from getting over there.... but that's a story for another day.) We are now in the process of moving to a house in American Fork. Plenty of room in there for a baby nursery, an office, and room for my dog to run around. That's right, I said MY dog. What sucks is that once you claim a dog is yours, all of the things the dog does become your fault, unless they are good things. Then, the wife or father-in-law claim that the "good" dog is due to them. No matter what, though, she is the most awesome dog alive. And one of the cutest. This would probably be better with pictures, because then you could see what I am talking about, but I'm not the artistic one. Blame Amy. She can take the stupid pictures. Now, we have a dog, a house, and a baby coming. Apparently we all have to grow up sometime. Or not. Stay tuned for more on our move, the baby, and hopefully some pictures (courtesy of Amy) that will bring all of you visually stimulated people back to this dirty rag we call a family blog.
